Matheus Cunha injury update ahead of Chelsea vs Wolves

Matheus Cunha is a doubt for Wolves’ Premier League match against Chelsea on Monday due to illness.

The 25-year-old returne from สมัคร UFABET วันนี้ รับเครดิตฟรีสำหรับสมาชิกใหม่ his two-match ban during Wolves’ 3-0 defeat away to Newcastle United on Wednesday night.

Cunha has been Wolves’ star performer this season with 10 goals and four assists in 20 Premier League appearances so far.

However, he could miss Wolves’ trip to Stamford Bridge on Monday night if he fails to recover from an illness he has suffered this week.

‘Today he was out of the training because he’s got a flu,’ Pereira said on Friday.

‘He is a bit sick, but I hope tomorrow he will be on the pitch, and maybe if he’s on the pitch training, it is a possibility to play the next game.

‘Semedo is training and Toti is recovering. He’s recovering well and I believe [he will return] in one week, maybe, I’m not a doctor.

But Toti is recovering well, Bouba [Traore] is working with us now after the injury in the knee and Sasa [Kalajdzic] is working with the medical department.’

Wolves currently sit 17th in the Premier League, level on points with 18th-placed Ipswich but out of the relegation due to having scored more goals.

Pereira’s side are without a win in their last three Premier League matches, while Chelsea have not secured a victory in their last five league games.

Just one match on from helping his side earn their first win of the season against Southampton, the Brazilian was superb once more on Matchday 12. He had a direct hand in three of Wolves’ four goals in their 4-1 win at Fulham, as Gary O’Neil’s men dragged themselves out of the relegation zone.

As usual, it seemed like one man was at the heart of everything good Wolves did.

After Alex Iwobi’s opener, it was Cunha who pulled the visitors level. Running onto a surgical through pass from Mario Lemina, Cunha plucked the ball out of the sky expertly before finishing passed Bernd Leno. He then slipped in João Gomes for Wolves’ second, before curling in a sumptuous third.

A further two goals and one assist took his total goal involvements tally to 10 for the season (seven goals, three assists). He’s now directly contributed to seven goals in his last four games and Wolves have secured points in all four of them (W2 D2).

His recent displays mark the culmination of an ascent that’s seen him become one of the most-rounded forwards in the Premier League over the past 12 months.

The 25-year-old has had a hand in 26 goals across his last 29 Premier League starts (17 goals, 9 assists) in a run that started with Wolves’ dramatic 2-1 victory over Tottenham in November last year.
